Day 1 – Lilongwe

Upon arrival at the airport you will be transferred to Mafumu Lodge for a night on dinner, bed and breakfast.

DAY 2 – Club Makokola

The following morning after your breakfast at Mafumu Lodge, you will embark on a four-hours’ drive to Mangochi, the Makokola Retreat. The site offers you an exclusive Lake Malawi accommodation on the shores of Africa's third largest lake - Lake Malawi.

The renowned Makokola Retreat is at the southern end of Lake Malawi. The lodge is laid out in well-tended gardens and offers large suites facing the lake. 

 A multitude of excitingLake Malawi watersports are available at Makokola Retreat including snorkeling, speed boating, waterskiing, and kayaking.

Day 3-4: Cape Maclear, Mumbo Island

Located on the southern shores of the Lake, with its golden sand, Cape Maclear’s relaxed atmosphere is the perfect spot for fantastic water sports activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and scuba diving. 

At 15:00 pm your boat transfer will depart for the stunning Mumbo Island, which is approximately 45 minutes. After a few minutes of resting, you will experience the beautiful sunset boat cruise around the island.

With amazing underwater boulders, around 500 species of colorful Cichlid fish, and placid, clear water, the national park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkeling and scuba diving in the world which you will experience the following morning.

After your island activities, you will return to the mainland and connect to Lilongwe.

Day 5: Departure Lilongwe

After breakfast you will be driven back to Kamuzu International Airport in time for your flight back home.
