Day 1: Lilongwe
Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be taken to Mafumu Lodge where you will spend a night on dinner, bed and breakfast.
On your way to the Lodge, you will be able to view the war memorial, the Kamuzu Mausoleum, and Parliament building right in the city.
Days 2 – 3: Majete Game Reserve
After breakfast, you will start off for a five-and-a-half-hour drive to Majete Wildlife Reserve.
On your way, you will briefly visit St Michaels and All Angels church in Blantyre that was built in 1888 by the Scottish Missionaries and the Chichiri Museum.
After enjoying a delicious lunch at Sunbird Mt Soche, you will proceed to Majete Wildlife Reserve, a Malawi’s premier Big 5 destination with thriving animal populations and plentiful birdlife.
You will stay at Thaware Lodge on full Board and activity basis. You will be able to see and appreciate elephants and other wildlife species as they visit the nearby drinking point which is closer to the chalets.
You will also appreciate community run in initiatives such as beekeeping and fish farming.
You will enjoy the morning and evening drives.
Days 3 - 5: Mulanje Mountain – Likhubula CCAP House Lodge
After enjoying Wildlife and nature at Majete Wildlife Reserve you will be transferred to Mulanje which is a two and half hours’ drive.
You will be at the foot of Mulanje mountain on the first day and you will appreciate the Tea Estates visits, and spend an overnight at Likhubula CCAP House Lodge on dinner, bed, and breakfast.
On the next day you go hiking on the Mountain and enjoy the beauty of the view.
Day 5 - 6: Liwonde via Zomba – Old Parliament Building – King African Rifles Monument
After a beautiful stay in Mulanje, you will start off after your breakfast to Liwonde but with a stopover in Zomba being the old capital city of Malawi so that you appreciate Old Parliament building and the Kings African Rifles. This is a two hour and forty-five minutes’ drive.
After a short stopover in Zomba, you will be transferred to Liwonde National Park and you will stay at Mvuu Lodge on full board and activities.
Liwonde National Park is a sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts, boasting diverse landscapes—riverine forests, grasslands, and wetlands.
You willembark on game drives, boat safaris, and spot elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and an array of bird species.
You will cruise along the Shire River, where elephants wade and hippos bask as you experience the beautiful sunset.
You will alsoengage with locals and learn about their culture and sustainable initiatives.
Day 6: Lilongwe
After a colorful stay at Liwonde National Park, you will be transferred back to Lilongwe, Mafumu Lodge, for a night on dinner, bed and breakfast.
The following morning after your breakfast, you will depart for your return flight.
